Three days with Dawn Menken
Are you a facilitator, a therapist, a trainer, a coach, a teacher, a student? Just beginning or with decades of experience? Whatever you’re called, whatever your skills and experience you’re always in need of inspiration, new impulses, knowledge, insights, and extra time to try out new and exciting things.
In the weekend of October 6, 7 & 8 you’ll have the chance to experience an exclusive event in Amsterdam. The Art of Facilitation and the Power of Relationship. Three days with Dawn Menken.
Dawn Menken is an internationally respected educator, therapist, leadership coach, facilitator, and conflict resolution specialist. She co-founded the Process Work Institute (PWI) in Portland (OR) where she co-created its master’s programs and served as academic dean for more than a decade. Dawn is still a highly respected teacher at the PWI. In all her endeavors she is moved to improve social discourse and inspire more meaningful civic engagement.
At the age of 20, in the late ’70s, she traveled to Zurich, Switzerland and was part of the original group learning from and supporting Dr. Arnold Mindell in his discovery of Process Work.
Dawn is the author of the award-winning book, Facilitating A More Perfect Union: A Guide for Politicians and Leaders. She also wrote, Raising Parents Raising Kids: Hands-on Wisdom for the Next Generation which makes an important contribution to the field of parenting, the understanding of children and family life.
Dawn will teach for three days in a great location in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and explore the art of facilitation and the power of relationship.
During these three days we will:
- Learn skills to work with the challenging dynamics of rank and power.
- Develop the ability to appreciate, understand and reveal all sides in public discourse and to deepen positions.
- Learn how to stay centered and connect with our own eldership.
- Sharpen our ability to work with complex communication systems and signals
- Discover how to bring out the emotional background and facilitate in the fire.
At the end of this training, you will be able to look at your facilitation from a Process Work perspective. This training is especially interesting for those who are skilled in Deep Democracy (Lewis Method), Constellation work, Gestalt therapy, Holding Space, Transactional analysis, NLP, Dialogue, etc. etc. For those who have Process Work training or are students at one of the Process Work schools throughout the world it’s a great opportunity to learn from Dawn and deepen your facilitation competences.
